ILETC has an exciting announcement: The We Authors writing of a CUNY student (City College of Technology), Eileen Nuñez, entitled “Yo soy el Español”, has been selected by the Santillana Editora Moderna publishing house in Brazil to be included in an upcoming Spanish teaching textbook! Santillana found the text browsing the We Authors site. How would you like to give your learners’ writing similar visibility?
The We Authors websites are a tool for CUNY instructors of any language to incorporate a public-facing component to their students’ writing, contributing to the development of language and literacy by having learners write for an audience beyond the instructor.
For next semester, consider having your students at any level of proficiency publish one or more of your assignments on the We Authors website. Learn how to join and hear student feedback about the experience in this ten-minute video weauthors.commons.gc.cuny.edu/instructional-videos-for-faculty.
